Grading:  Easy/moderate day walks, with most of our time being spent on day boats and our multi-day vessel.

  • Lunge-feeding humpback whales, minke whales

Vancouver Island provides the best and most consistent Killer Whale (Orca) watching anywhere in the world, and this tour will take in many of the finest killer whale watching hotspots in the region! 

The coastline of Vancouver Island is home to three different ecotypes of Killer whales - Transient (mammal eating), and Resident (Fish eating), with the the latter split into two distinct populations residing in the South and North waters from spring to fall. In addition to the numerous opportunities to see Killer Whales while aboard day boat tours and an exclusive 5 day charter in Johnstone Strait/Broughton Archipelago (one of the best regions for Killer Whale sightings), we will also have the opportunity to view other species, such as:
